I have broken it down into a few different categories.
Basic Information – Most were first time moms, had their babies in the hospital and had birthing times
Comfort and Satisfaction – The majority of moms were comfortable or had manageable discomfort during parts of their birth. 98% felt their hypnosis tools helped during their births.
Unmedicated – 100% of the moms used hypnosis to try and go unmedicated. 80% did go unmedicated.
VBAC Moms – I was disappointed I only had 4 moms respond to this section, BUT they all did acheive their VBAC and felt hypnosis was helpful in this.
Cesarean – 15% of the moms had cesareans. They felt that hypnosis was still helpful.
Reasons for Using and Helpfulness of Hypnosis – Pretty self explanatory. 🙂
I wish that I had the advanced survey monkey account, so everyone could go read all the comments, etc. But here are the responses. They don’t look very pretty, it was hard to get it formatted right in the blog.
The percentages are the percentage results, the number next to it is the number that responded to that question.
Overall I thought the responses were positive. Even moms who ended up with a cesarean birth, still felt their hypnosis training was beneficial. 96% of the moms said they would recommend hypnosis for childbirth to their friends!
So, if you are pregnant, do some research on the different options out there for hypnosis for childbirth and find the best one for you! The majority of the moms who responded to this survey either used Hypnobabies or HypnoBirthing.
*****This is not a scientific study. I had 60 results. These results are from moms using a few different types of Childbirth for Hypnosis classes. ******
