Many moms are told early in their pregnancy that their placentas are low.  Here are some wonderful visualization ideas to help those moms, from our wonderful Hypnobabies Instructor Carole.

I have some encouraging information and thoughts for you…and if you can internalize these thoughts in the form of affirmations by recording them to a CD yourself in whatever wording suits your psyche and your circumstances, or through direct self-hypnosis suggestions if you are to the point in your programming to be able to do so…

First, the placenta doesn’t “move” per se. It appears to “migrate” simply because it will grow more readily and rapidly towards the area of the uterus that is softer, more vascular and blood rich (which is NOT the cervix!). Which is good news. As your placenta grows, imagine it growing more rapidly on the sides that are not near the cervix. That will happen automatically. Now, also imagine that your uterus is getting larger like a balloon as it is being filled with air…which it most certainly does! Now, imagine the area of
your uterus between the edge of your placenta that is nearest your cervix, growing and creating an ever-widening gap between your placenta and your cervix…which it also most certainly does. You might even draw a circle on the lower portion of a deflated balloon, which will represent the placenta, near the opening of the balloon (which represents the cervix) … and then blow up that balloon and you will have a visual of what I am talking about!

Keep “replaying” the positive visuals in your mind, expecting only the best possible outcome. Hypnobabies moms expect, visualize and create painfree birthings all the time with the power of their own minds. The mind body connection is a very powerful tool.

Oooo, I love this blog post about Jackson’s Hypnobabies Birth.  He was born at the hospital and was almost 9.5 pounds.  Mom tells the story in such a great way.  🙂

Greetings from Hypnobabies!

Thank you so much for your support of our wonderful program, Hypnobabies! We have recently listed some of our excellent products on Amazon.com and we would like to announce our Hypnobabies Amazon.com Affiliate Program. You can make money by promoting Hypnobabies products (and any others that you would like) by joining the Amazon Associate’s Program. Please take some time to visit   http://tinyurl.com/AmazonAssociatesTour and check this opportunity out.

This is how it works:

You sign up for the program and decide which way(s) you would like to promote our Hypnobabies products (and any others you want to). You will make 15% of any purchase made that comes from your referral. Basically, there are 3 ways you can choose to make money:

1) Links & Banners
It’s easy to advertise Amazon products by building links and banners. When you add these links and banners to your web page and visitors click on them from your page, you can earn up to 15% on all purchases made during their shopping session.

2) Build Your Amazon Widgets
Amazon Widgets are rich, interactive mini-applications that bring Amazon functionality to your website. (mini slide shows!) Start by selecting one of the options we provide and you’ll then be able to customize your widget and we’ll provide the HTML for you to use on your site. Again, you can earn up to 15% on all purchases made during their shopping session.
If you’d like to see a widget, our Hypnobabies website has a small widget at the bottom of our Favorites page here: http://tinyurl.com/Hypnobabies-Widget

3) You can actually have your own store, called an “aStore”!
aStore is a new Associates product that gives you the power to create a professional online store, in minutes and without the need for programming skills, that can be embedded within or linked to from your website. You will direct people to your aStore and you can earn up to 15% on all purchases made during their shopping session .

There is also an added feature called “Site Stripe”, that runs across the top of the page whenever you visit Amazon.com, which allows you to search Amazon and add products at any time to your website, widgets or aStore. That makes it very convenient and easy to update the list of products that you would like to make money on at any given time.

If you decide to start making money promoting our Hypnobabies products (and others) on Amazon.com, you’ll want to use the following three listings to start your Amazon Associate’s program with:

Our Hypnobabies Home Study Course Plus 2 CDs:
http://tinyurl.com/HomeStudyCoursePlus2CDs

Our Hypnobabies Hypnosis for an Easy Pregnancy CD Set:
http://tinyurl.com/Hypnobabies-EasyPregnancySet

Our Hypno-Doula workbook, with 5 CDs:
http://tinyurl.com/Hypno-DoulaWorkbookPlus5Cds

Thank you so much for helping to spread the good word about Hypnobabies so that more moms can have a much easier pregnancy and birth, and more birth professionals can learn how to assist our Hypno-Moms!

How can you help even more? We would so love it if you could forward this e-mail on to others by contacting anyone that you think would be interested in making money by promoting Hypnobabies (and other products) on Amazon Associates. This includes the following:

Hypnobabies has already had such a positive effect on changing the way our moms give birth, the way that babies experience their own births, and the way people perceive natural childbirth. Thank *you* for helping this wonderful process by sharing Hypnobabies with others!

Audrey
June 14th 2:27 am
8 lbs 8 oz
19.5 inches

This is my first post to this group, but I have been following threads
daily and have really benefited from all of your advice….

After the birth of my daughter two and a half years ago, I knew that I
wanted something different for the birth of our second child. I had
not really prepared myself for the natural birth that I wanted the
first time around, and I ended up with a long and difficult labor
which was full of medical interventions that I had sworn I would never
accept. After a friend had a very positive experience with
Hypnobabies I decided to give it a try….

My husband Corey, daughter Erika, and I all went to my 41 week
appointment with my midwife for a non-stress test. Everything sounded
great with the baby’s heart and when my midwife checked my cervix we
were all surprised and glad to hear that I was almost 6 cm dilated. I
was also having regular pressure waves every 8 minutes or so and my
midwife asked me, “do you think you’re in labor?!” I told her no. I
could feel tightening, but nothing intense enough to qualify as
“labor.” She told me that I should scratch my plans of laboring at
home and come in to the hospital as soon as I thought something was
happening. We all came home and Corey and I got some last minute
things together, just in case, though I still didn’t think anything
was happening any time soon. I went on my mile walk that I had been
going on every night for the last few weeks and had to make the walk
short for the first time because I had a lot of pressure on my cervix.
We put Erika to bed, watched a movie, I took a shower, and then went
to bed.

A pressure wave woke me up at 12:30 am and I woke up Corey right away.
“We might want to call your parents,” I told him. When the next wave
came 10 minutes later I knew that we had to get going fast. Corey
made the calls to his family and mine, got the car packed, and I
changed and got the ipod ready. The pressure waves seemed to be
coming faster, though we weren’t timing them. Corey’s dad got to our
house around 1:15am to stay with Erika and I was already in the car,
listening to my “early birthing” cd, and ready to go. I closed my
eyes and focused on my breath through each pressure wave. I
concentrated on keeping my face relaxed- not grimacing or grinding my
teeth. I made a point to smile after each wave to keep my jaw
relaxed. I was silent. I stayed in center all the way to the hospital.

We got to the hospital around 1:45 am. We checked in through
emergency and waited for Corey’s mom, who was just a few minutes
behind us. When we arrived in the Alternative Birthing Unit the
attending midwife and nurse were waiting. The nurse asked which room
I wanted and I told her I wanted the one with the biggest tub:) Once
in the room, I asked for the lights to be turned down low and the tub
to be filled. I was feeling a little shaky and the midwife said she
thought I was in transition. “Already, huh?” I asked, not totally
believing her. She checked me and I was almost 8 cm dilated, but I
thought I still had a ways to go, so I got in the tub. The tub felt
wonderful and I worked through the pressure waves on my hands and
knees. After just a few minutes the pressure waves changed intensity
and I said, “I have to push!” When I was being helped out of the tub
I could feel Audrey’s head coming down. After just three or four
pushes Audrey was born at 2:27am. I can honestly say that I did not
feel any pain. I felt pressure, but not pain. It felt incredible to
feel her moving down and coming out.

Once she was born, she was placed right on my chest and her umbilical
cord was cut by Corey after it stopped pulsating. She was beautiful
and calm.

I had a lot of bleeding right after her birth and the midwife was very
concerned. I asked her to wait as long as possible before giving me
any contraction inducing medication, and she respected my wishes as
long as she could. After one of the medications failed to stop the
bleeding, a second one was given which, luckily, worked quickly.
Corey was sitting right next to me, holding Audrey the entire time and
she was sucking on his finger. I tore very little and recovered
quickly.

Audrey nursed for a while, Corey’s mom left, I took a shower and the
three of us went to bed. In spite of the ordeal right after delivery,
I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect birthing. I know that it was
all those months of positive messages from my Hypnobabies cds that
helped me have this ideal birthing experience. I will definitely use
Hypnobabies again if we have another child and recommend it to anyone
who will listen!

Cheers!
Niku.

I always love to hear a good VBAC story, they are very inspirational to me as a VBAC mom and I know other moms wanting a VBAC need to hear positive stories.
