For our second son, we had recently moved away from family and friends and did not have a support network. Our son decided it was time to arrive immediately after I had dropped off my brother-in-law at the airport. It was a stressful night including being broadsided by a buck on my way back home from the airport, but my wife did her Hynobabies thing, kept calm and focused, and delivered our son within a half hour of arriving at the hospital.

There was only one downside — for me. At the first birth, my wife was so out of it from the traditional drugs and process that I got to hold our son during his first half hour in the world and that was a special time I’ll never forget. The second time with Hypnobabies, my wife didn’t have to recover from drugs. She was alert and ready to give our son attention immediately after the birth. That feels like the way it should be and I am happy that she got to have that experience. I do not think that would have been possible without Hypnobabies.
