Most women are like surfers who never get on the board when the wave comes. Those are the epidural folks.
Some of us get on top of the wave and ride it, but really don’t enjoy the ride. (that’s me, and it makes an epidural tempting).
I suppose Hypnobabies is like a surfer who not only rides the wave, but is enjoying it, too!
I LOVE this thought. I had started imagining descending during a SCUBA dive as deepening imagery and recently found myself using a big beautiful yacht as my safe place, so I could ride the pressure waves safely when I wanted to and then jump into the wonderful water and dive ‘deeper, deeper down’ when I needed it.
Now if only I could convince my hospital to let me bring a birthing tub!
