What a wonderful birthing! Thank you for sharing.

I wanted to point out I guess for any moms concerned about fighting off hospital birth fears that your story is a perfect example of what I try to remind moms... that we fear all the interventions and get stressed but in the end a lot of times things aren't as bad as we assume they'll be. I was so ready to fight the laying on your back pushing up hill thing, but in the end, I was so tired - birthing time started at 10pm had no sleep until she came at 5am - that although it probably slowed things I was fine and comfortable pushing on my back. So we just never know, and we shouldn't assume that it's going to tense or yucky in the hospital. We should reminding ourselves (as I am for my upcoming birthing time) that we'll never know what it's like until we get there, so stop stressing!
